PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Sophie Lenoel Quang of the Bousquet Race Team on Sunday skied to a second place finish at the Tri-State Under-14 Championship at Bousquet Mountain.

 

Quang compiled a two-run slalom time of 1 minute, 38.19 seconds to finish behind Berkshire East's Marina Matviak (1:30.41).

 

Three Bousquet Race Team girls competed in the slalom race on their home mountain. Adelina Scalise-Lampiasi placed 43rd with a two-run time of 2:12.96. Aryanna Bouchard did not finish her first run but skied a time of 1:08.17 in her second run.

 

In the boys slalom event, five Bousquet Race Team racers competed.

 

Owen Tanner led the club with an eighth-place finish, posting a two-run rime of 1:45.34. The boys event was won by Dean Gaughran of Mount Southington in 1:35.54.

 

Bousquet's Beau Sanders placed 29th (1:55.68), and his teammate Craig Newbert was 57th in 2:12.52.

 

Two Bousquet Race Team boys posted just one time. Aiden Arseneau finished his second run in 58.82 seconds; Oliver Mailhot hit the finish line in 1:18.57 in his second run.
