Hot Plate Brewery Witchy Wednesday Salon

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Building on their monthly Wednesday Night Salon series, Hot Plate Brewing Co. is making this month's salon a little spooky.

They are partnering with local businesses, performers, and artisans to showcase talent that exists in Downtown Pittsfield. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 inside their taproom located at 1 School Street.

Hot Plate started their Salon series as a nod to female intellectuals throughout history. Originating in France in the seventeenth and eighteenth century, women invited a variety of artists, thinkers, and performers into their homes to help educate women who were often excluded from academic environments and intellectual societies.

Today, the brewery doesn't take such a gendered position, but they honor the tradition of sharing their spaces with like-minded people interested in sharing their knowledge and/or learning from local experts.

Danielle Munn from Witch Slapped, which is located around the corner from Hot Plate's brewery and taproom, and Kira Staubach-Smith from Shire Alchemy will be the event's featured speakers. The night will begin at 6pm with a short musical set from Val Siobhan, and local vendors will be offering their services or goods.

Hot Plate will also offer curated flights that will be inspired by Zodiac signs.
