FLORENCE, Ala. -- The Berkshire Force 12-and-under travel softball team Sunday went 1-1 to finish pool play with a record of 2-2 at the Babe Ruth World Series.
The Force began its day with an 18-2 win over the host team from Florence.
Kaylana Altman homered and drove in three runs in the win.
Daisy Caron and Victoria Blanchard each had a strong day at the plate.
Caron was 2-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBIs. Blanchard went 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Cassidy Flynn also went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Olivia Archambault went the distance in the circle in the three-inning game striking out six.
On Sunday evening, the Force played a rain-delayed game against Johnson County of Louisiana, falling, 12-1, in four innings.
Archambault singled and scored on a base hit by Gianna Moses, who also tripled to go 2-for-2.
Flynn and Archambault split time in the circle in the loss, striking out 10.
Bracket play at the World Series begins on Monday.
