PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Nomination papers for elected offices in the City of Pittsfield will be available on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. 

 

Offices on the 2025 municipal election ballot will be City Clerk (1 seat), Councilor At-Large (4 seats), Ward Councilor

(7 seats) and School Committee (6 seats).

 

150 signatures from Pittsfield voters are required for City Clerk, Councilor At-Large and School Committee. 50 signatures from Pittsfield voters, within the ward, are required for Ward Councilor.

 

The term of office for each elected position is two years beginning on January 5, 2026.

 

Candidates seeking to run for office can pick up their nomination papers from the City Clerk's Office located at 70 Allen Street, Pittsfield starting on April 2 at 8:30 a.m. Completed nomination papers must be submitted to the Registrar of Voters' Office for

certification by Friday, July 18, 2025 no later than 4:00 p.m. Certified papers must then be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by Friday, August 1, 2025 no later than 5:00 p.m. to be eligible for the ballot.

 

The Preliminary Election is scheduled for Sept. 16, 2025, and the General Election is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2025.
