Investigation Underway After Car Strikes Pedestrian in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — On June 20, 2025 at approximately 2:43 PM, the Pittsfield Police Dept., Pittsfield Fire Dept., and Action Ambulance, responded to the area of Dartmouth St at Dalton Ave for a report of a motor vehicle having struck a pedestrian. 

A 2013 Chevy Impala was traveling west bound on Dalton Ave, when it collided with a pedestrian who was walking south bound. The pedestrian, was transported to BMC with life threatening injuries. 

Dalton Ave was closed to traffic from Benedict Rd to Harvard St for approximately two hours while the investigation into this collision took place and for the roadway to be cleared. All names are being withheld at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
