 PITTSFIELD, Mass. On Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 5:30-7:30 there will be a Community Friendsgiving in the Common Room. Attendees will be assigned a seat at a table, where a host will help guide the conversation and help people get to know, listen to, and appreciate each other, all around a theme of gratitude. The menu is lasagna, salad, bread, and dessert. The ticket price is $14/person available only at acommonroom.org. If cost is an issue, email office@zionlutheranpittsfield.org. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mayoral candidate and City Council President Peter Marchetti is included in a federal court filing against Pittsfield Cooperative Bank by a former employee alleging a hostile work environment and sex discrimination that led to her termination. Richmond resident Victoria May filed the complaint on Sept. 11 in U.S. District Court in Springfield against Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, its President Jay Anderson, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking Operations Peter Marchetti and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Harry Moore. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Conservation Commission has requested some riverfront improvements as a part of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's ADA improvements to curb ramps.
On Thursday, the panel voted to require a notice of intent application due to one location's proximity to the riverfront.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Baseball now has a birthday in the city of Pittsfield.
On Tuesday, the City Council unanimously voted to recognize Sept. 5 as the official birthday of baseball. The effort was led by Ward 5 Councilor Patrick Kavey and baseball enthusiast Phil Massery.
Kavey thanked Mayor Linda Tyer for supporting the effort. She submitted a resolution for the council's approval at the meeting.
"We look forward to working with you over the next couple of months and the incoming mayor to really make the next fifth of September something something really awesome and something we can all be proud of with with our history of baseball," he said.
