DALTON, Mass. — The Central Berkshire Regional School District is focusing on equitable learning, social-emotional support, and family engagement in its district improvement plan. BOSTON — Gov. Maura Healey has signed an Act relative to treatments and coverage for substance use disorder and recovery coach licensure, which makes treatment and recovery support more affordable and accessible for residents living with substance use disorder. The legislation expands access to lifesaving opioid reversal medications like naloxone and ensures they are covered by health insurance. It also introduces measures to support the well-being of infants with prenatal substance exposure and their caregivers. King Kone, a soft-serve staple, was purchased by the nonprofit Roots & Dreams and Mustard Seeds to be run as a workers' co-op. At the end of the 2023 season, the Barbarotta family closed the shop's order and pickup windows for the last time as they prepared to sell. LANEBOROUGH, Mass. — The town hopes to gather community members with a winter festival in early February. The Select Board ended 2024 with a brief meeting on Monday.
