Berkshire Museum Exhibition Partnership with Second Street

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Museum announces Insight Out, an exhibition of visual art created by presently and formerly incarcerated people in Berkshire County, in partnership with Second Street Second Chances, Inc.    The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, Sept. 2 and remains on view through Sunday, Oct. 1.   Artists whose work is included in the exhibition will receive a cash award of $200, provided by 2nd Street, and a family membership to Berkshire Museum.    If the artists choose, their works may be purchased by members of the public following the closing of the exhibition. Pittsfield Art Partnership Plans New Mural at 348 North St.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Local artist Cara Petricca will paint an original mural this week on the north-facing side of 348 North St. (the alleyway facing St. Joseph's Church).    Part of the Let It Shine! ArtWeek Berkshires 2023 Welcomes Submissions

PITTSFIELD, Mass. Berkshire County's five Cultural Districts are partnering again on an even more ambitious ArtWeek Berkshires 2023, to be held Oct.14-22.

The cultural districts include Downtown Great Barrington Cultural District, Lenox Cultural District, North Adams Cultural District, Upstreet Cultural District in Pittsfield and Williamstown Cultural District.

BCHS Talk on Shays' Rebellion

Tenth Year of Berkshire Pottery Tour

Literary Hike to Monument Mountain

State Officials Promote Act for Accessible Creative Economy

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Local lawmakers and the cultural leaders on Friday called for the inclusion of people of all abilities in the creative economy.

The proposed Accessibility in the Creative Economy Act would would provide grants to organizations focused on arts, culture, humanities, and interpretive sciences that remove barriers for people with disabilities.
