Server Victoria Mason with some of Dorothy's shareable platters. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Dottie's Coffee Lounge has grown and evolved over the decade to become a staple of North Street.   Its newest "accessory" is an expansion into the former Mission restaurant that closed in October 2022.   The adjacent space, now named Dorothy's, was renovated to connect to the coffeehouse and expand on the "welcoming and interesting" vibe that patrons love about Dottie's but also combine it with a "louder," "swanky" "sparkly" nightlife, owner Jessica Rufo said.   "I think that Dorothy's will continue the

Letter: Wahconah Park: Invest in Future, Celebrate Past.
Letter to the Editor,
07:00PM / Sunday, February 18, 2024

To the Editor:

I've had many people ask for my opinion regarding the situation. Phone has been non-stop notifications, tags, and texts since the announcement. I have worked at Wahconah Park since I became an adult. I have been to nearly every game at the ballpark except for 3: senior prom, my wedding (still ended up there), and my son's godparents' wedding. I am the longest-tenured broadcaster in FCBL history and Wahconah Park's history. I'd wager I have seen the ballpark more than any other person since 2011. I know the ballpark. I also know it's flaws.

Considering where the press box is located, there is no person who has taken more risk than me. I called that

Fresh produce is purchased from local farms.  LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — The pandemic brought food security to the attention of many people across the globe — including in the Berkshires.    It was a surprise to many to realize how significant the need was despite the many farms, grocers and local restaurants in the region. Once that need became apparent, people like Kristen Tool and Chris Wheeler stepped in to remedy things.   Heart and Soil Collective is one of the Berkshire nonprofits formed during that time with the goal to connect people to the farmers and land and increase food security from every angle. Dalton Board of Health Navigates Infectious Disease Protocols for Green Burial
By Sabrina Damms, iBerkshires Staff
05:22PM / Friday, February 16, 2024
DALTON, Mass. — The Board of Health continued to chip away on how it wants to word the "Green Burials" guidelines during its meeting on Wednesday.    One of the things that complicates green burials is diseases. The Board of Health is working with the cemetery trustees to clarify measures to prevent their spread.    The cemetery trustees are still very early on in the process of establishing green burials. This excludes someone who wants to be buried in their yard, which would be a separate process.    Town counsel informed the trustees during a previous meeting that establishing green burials will be a dual effort between them and the Board of
