PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Pittsfield Public Schools (PPS) announced a new and district-wide Arts Integration (AI) and Community Partnerships (CP) program. In his first year in office, PPS Superintendent Joseph Curtis envisioned a district-wide arts integration program that would provide the districts' roughly 5000 students and 500 faculty with equitable and embedded access to Berkshire County's vast cultural resources in alignment with the PPS District Improvement Plan and Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan, while synchronously targeting grade level Common Core Standards, and social emotional learning.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Jodi's Seasonal will have a new life providing meaningful, therapeutic employment to people with intellectual disabilities.
Last week, ServiceNet announced its acquisition of the 16-acre flower farm on Crane Avenue. It will be renamed Prospect Meadow Farm Berkshires, which is a part of the agency's Developmental and Brain Injury Services division.
"We hope that it creates new and exciting opportunities for people with disabilities that are passionate about animals, passionate about the outdoors, passionate about working with their hands," Vice President of Vocational Services Shawn Robinson said.

 LENOX, Mass. — James Taylor returns to Tanglewood with his All-Star Band for performances on Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, at 8 p.m. in the Koussevitzky Music Shed. DALTON, Mass. — The Traffic Commission weighed in last week on the preliminary design options for Dalton Division Road that were presented last month. The commission's discussion focused on the sewer line, sidewalks, and intersection of Williams Street, Washington Mountain Road and Mountain Road. Some commissioners felt that installing a sewer line on the Dalton side and not include the city if Pittsfield is "silly" because of the cost of the cost and future ramifications it could have.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Roadwork remains a hot topic in the City Council's new term.
The council took up a petition last week from Councilor at Large Earl Persip III seeking an update from Commissioner of Public Utilities Ricardo Morales on a road patch at 181 Elm St. Persip requested that the patch be fixed last year, as it extends into the center of the lane and is not level.
"I gotta explain why I'm dwelling in on these patches — because they're causing the residents, the taxpayers more money in the long run," the councilor said.
