PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Organizers of a new youth hockey program in the region are hoping to extend the season and provide opportunities for players looking to sharpen their skills.   The Atlantic Coast Academy will hold tryouts on April 3 in North Adams for its fall program, the Atlantic Coast Selects.   Players born from 2004 to 2009 are eligible to play for the Atlantic Coast Selects, a travel program that offers twice weekly practices and games in showcase events that attract scouts from collegiate, prep and junior hockey programs.   "Ultimately, the league is structured around a couple of showcase events," said Mike Taylor, the owner of the Atlantic

HINSDALE, Mass. -- Dalton Girls Youth Lacrosse will hold informational meetings and clinics for girls in grades 1 through 8 this week at Kittredge Elementary School.   The event will be held Wednesday, March 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 24, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.   Girls from throughout Berkshire County are invited to attend.   Players who have a stick and goggles should bring them. LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — The Economic Development Committee has begun planning specifics of the first annual Tour de Greylock, a bicycle race that will take riders across Northern Berkshire County. 

The committee discussed initial plans for Tour de Greylock at its Tuesday meeting, with a target date of Sept. 24, 2022, for the event.
