Marchetti Honors Pittsfield Athletes at City Council

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Tuesday's City Council meeting began with a roar as several high school athletes were honored for their accomplishments.

Mayor Peter Marchetti delivered proclamations to the Taconic High School hockey team and bowling team as well as an individual from the Pittsfield High School bowling team. Each excited a round of applause from students, friends, and families who filled council chambers.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Berkshire Running Foundation has released the 2024 Race Calendar for the local nonprofit with several new events scheduled throughout the county.   Following its first official year operating as a nonprofit entity in 2023, the 501c3 organization, which has a mission of advancing and expanding on the positive impact the running community has on the neighborhoods we live, produced, and directed eight events in 2023. Softball, Baseball Winter Vacation Camps Offered

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Infield Berkshire Baseball Academy is offering winter vacation day camps for baseball and softball players aged 8 to 12.   The baseball camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 19 and 20. The softball camp is 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 21 and 22.   The cost is $50 per day.   The camp will focus on basic offense and defense skills.
