PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A combined no-hitter from Weston Wigglesworth and Mateo Fox led Pittsfield over Westfield by a final score of 9-0, in the Little League Section 1 Tournament on Friday.   Pittsfield stayed in the winner's bracket of the double-elimination tournament and will host the survivor of the loser’s bracket on Sunday afternoon for the sectional title and a berth in the state final four.   Wigglesworth continues his summer of destruction, cashing in 35 pitches with five strikeouts, as well as batting 1-for-3 with yet another home run.   Pittsfield’s offense carried over from its Thursday win over Athol, recording runs in every inning until the

AUGUSTA, Maine -- Pittsfield's Connor Paronto Friday fired a complete-game no-hitter to lead his Babe Ruth 16-year-old All-Star team to a 10-0 win over North Providence in the first game of the New England Regional.   Paronto struck out six and did not allow a walk or a hit. BCArc’s Golf Event Raises Funds for Individuals with Disabilities

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Berkshire County Arc raised $45,000 at its 29th annual Golf Classic held this summer at Berkshire Hills Country Club.   The funds raised from the event go directly to individuals with disabilities for activities such as art classes, medical equipment, wheelchair swings, concerts, assistive technology, and dream trips to places like Disney, Celtics games, and deep-sea fishing.   The money also goes to scholarships to area high school students planning to pursue human service careers.   The lead supporters of the event this year were Berkshire Bank, Health New England, Greylock Federal Credit Union,  Notch Insurance Group, Synagex Modern IT, and
